MIRAMAR, FL — The Freedom Pledge is a new vision for the state of Florida, focused on freedom for all, which asks elected officials to refrain from taking money from the GEO Group and the National Rifle Association (NRA). Every day, advocates work to get our people out of prison, our money out of prison, and prison money out of politics. Fueled by racism, xenophobia and profiteering, Florida communities continue to suffer because of systems designed to put profits over people.
Advocacy groups across the state have banded together to demand that political candidates and all who aspire to leadership take a stand by by agreeing to sign the Freedom Pledge. Candidates have been given until June 19th to vow not to take donations from GEO Group or the NRA. The people of Florida demand to know who stands with them and who is against them.

FLIC Votes seeks to expand democracy by shaping an active and conscious electorate which reflects the diversity of Florida.
